Overview

Tony brings a wealth of industry experience as an electrical and mechanical engineer to his expansive intellectual property law practice. As such, he is able to offer his technology clients a distinctly comprehensive approach to obtaining and enforcing their intellectual property rights.

Tony’s broad intellectual property experience includes patent prosecution before U.S. and international patent offices; patent, copyright and contract litigation before U.S. district courts, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the International Trade Commission (ITC) and foreign courts; appeals to the Federal Circuit; and strategic counseling, due diligence and opinions.

He has successfully represented clients in high stakes patent infringement cases, administrative trial proceedings and federal civil litigation involving patent, copyright and contracts. He has advised both investors and stakeholder during several mergers and acquisitions with large international IP portfolios.

In his current practice, Tony focuses on assisting clients with mechanical and electromechanical patent prosecution.

Previous Work and Industry Experience

Over the past 15 years, Tony has been an IP practitioner with several large and mid-size firms on the east coast. He previously prosecuted numerous federal crimes before judges, juries and administrative boards while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. As an engineer for a worldwide leading supplier of nuclear technology, Tony managed the design and fabrication oversight of the reactor vessel and steam generator products for new nuclear power plants, participated directly in the negotiation of nuclear regulatory matters, and provided technology transfer training to nuclear power companies.
